About Heidi

Heidi Naumowicz is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Illinois. Heidi holds a Master of Social Work degree with a concentration in Occupational Social Work from the Jane Addams College of Social Work at the University of Illinois at Chicago.  She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Luther College in Decorah, IA in the double major of Psychobiology. Recently, she has completed training in cognitive behavioral therapy for treatment of sleep disorders (CBTi), clinical trauma treatment, and integrative behavioral health medicine.

Currently, Heidi is a member of the National Association of Social Workers.  She is active in networking with other mental health and treatment professionals in McHenry County.  She is also a former Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP) and previously provided Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) services for those employed in safety-sensitive positions per U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.  Heidi also has held various leadership and volunteer positions within the communities and churches in which she has participated.

With nearly 30 years of experience in the social services field, Heidi is adept in assessment, therapy, grief counseling, dealing with relationship concerns, and treating anxiety and depression.  She has been in private practice since 2010, during which time she has developed a high success rate working with young adults, mood disorders, anxiety, relationship issues, eating disorders, sleep disturbances, medical issues impacting emotional health, coaching small business owners, and work-related issues.  During her twelve years working in the Employee Assistance Field, she became adept at providing supervisory consultation & coaching, organizational assistance, and training and development.  Additionally, she has provided numerous presentations and has extensive knowledge of community resources throughout the Chicagoland area, particularly McHenry and Kane Counties.  Combined with additional experience in Adolescent Residential Treatment, Utilization Management, Quality Assurance, Substance Abuse, and Police Social Work, Heidi is well equipped to work with a variety of concerns.

 

Heidi will partner with you to work on goals, develop a plan of action, and continue to assess your situation with you throughout the course of your work with her.
